IETF-64 BTNS Session Summary
November 10, 15.10 - 16.10
BTNS held it second meeting in Vancouver. Two documents where
discussed during the meeting, the "Problem and Applicability
Statement" and "An Unauthenticated Mode of IPsec".
Joe Touch talked about the Problem and Applicability Statement
document and how the document was updated to deal with the comments
received on the document. More review of the document is needed.
Nico Williams made a short presentation of his draft
"An Unauthenticated Mode of IPsec". There was a good discussion on
how to deal with SSH style leap of faith and how to describe BTNS
within the IPsec framework with respect to PAD and SPD.
Decisions
=========
* Adopted Nico Williams draft draft-williams-btns-00 as a WG item.
Action items
============
* Publish next version of the Problem and Applicability Statement
hopefully in the beginning of December. Joe, Yu-Shun, David.
* Get more review of the Problem and Applicability Statement, chairs
* Publish next version of Nico draft as a working-group item, Nico.
* Add text in Nico draft how to the use-cases in Problem and
Applicability Statement is used, Nico.
